Ideaca attends 2009 Microsoft SharePoint Conference
On October 19-22, Ideaca attended the 2009 Microsoft SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas. Highlights included a keynote address from Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer and Jeff Teper, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Office Business Platform, as well as a demo of SharePoint 2010 from Tom Rizzo, Senior Director for SharePoint. Some key points from the conference included:
- SharePoint truly being at the heart of collaboration, and considered the “next generation” platform for extensibility, programmability, and a unified infrastructure.
- Improved interfaces and configuration options, tighter integration with the Office suite, multi-browser support, improvements for mobile phone capability, improved support for Windows 7 and Vista, the introduction of PowerPivot for Excel and SharePoint, and much more.
- Getting more done with less – cost, infrastructure, and time to deliver - with SharePoint 2010.
