Flexibility and Diversity
Diversity – You will have the opportunity to work on different projects with different
products and in different industries. We believe in the concept of Renaissance consultants
with the notion that our employees are a consultant first and foremost, not simply
product specialists.
Flexible career paths – both in breadth and depth. We offer all our employees the
chance to pursue new roles within the organization
Flexible work arrangements to help you achieve a work/life balance. We work to have
a life, not live to work
Balance – Although there could be travel involved certain roles, we do our very
best to allow you to have dinner with your family and sleep in your own bed - this
has resonance and makes us different from our competitors
Career, not a job
Career focused – people have long term careers at Ideaca, not in and out like a
lot of other places
The most important aspect of a long career is every day enjoyment of their job.
We want our customers to enjoy working with our consultants and vice versa. There
will be no room full of “bickering prima donnas” at Ideaca and we realize that the
customer is not always right.
If you want a career, Ideaca is right for you. If you just want a job, please go
somewhere else.
Culture
Although we are professional, Ideaca is non-corporate. There are no assistants to
assistants and you don’t have to wear a suit every day to work.
Fun – The culture at Ideaca is hard-working but fun at the same time. Managers are
easily accessible and executives here will know you by name. We encourage Ideacans
to enjoy themselves whether by organizing company ski trips or just getting a drink
after work. We joke, we kid and most of all we build relationships with colleagues
that will last a lifetime.
Our beer and wine fridge is always full
Doors are open – the owner and founder are as accessible as are the Senior partners
and co-workers
We are socially flat – everyone is on a first name basis and is accessible – we
do not have many “sirs” in our company
We do not Silo in the traditional sense – people are hired into groups, but employees
socialize outside that parameter – people are friends regardless if they are in
Sales or Delivery – we do not have glass walls in our office or in our relationships
with co-workers
We do not hire a$$holes
Community and Caring
Our commitment to our customer’s success extends to the community as a whole.
We are staunch capitalists at Ideaca, and have every intention of building a thriving, growing, profitable company.
However, we believe that companies that benefit from the community have a responsibility to share their success and give back to that community.
Ideaca will donate a percentage of profit to worthy causes, and undertake work on a “pro bono” basis.
In addition, we encourage our employees to take an active role in making their communities a better place.
We have built houses for Habitat for Humanity, grown moustaches for Movember and have wrapped gifts as part of our Adopt-a-Family program.
Our Social Responsibility Task Force is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of Canadians by investing in communities.
We strive to be strong corporate citizens, and we commit to operating in a way which benefits the regions in which we operate.
People count – we are about our co-workers and our employees and do our very best to limit employee turnover
