Senior Project Managers/Business Analysts

As an Ideaca Project Manager/Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing strategy and producing project plans (scope, risk, quality, cost, change management, communications, procurement, work breakdown structure, and schedule) to deliver against it Working with the project sponsor to develop project charter, goals and priorities
  • Facilitating risk assessment/mitigation sessions and follow-through risk management with a balanced and business priority driven approach
  • Leveraging your solid understanding of the project management life cycle and related principles, methodologies and best practices and improves such processes and execution

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience as a project manager successfully leading full life-cycle business process and /or information technology projects, on time, on budget to the client's satisfaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management (including business and IT director level personnel) and customers/vendors
  • A balance of business experience and people management skills with strong technology knowledge
  • Ability to develop project proposals, comprehensive project budgets and plans and to contribute extensively through the entire engagement lifecycle from sales to delivery.
  • Applied experience with Project Management principles, practices and methodologies e.g. RUP, EUP, Agile, PMI, CMM etc.

As our ideal candidate you will:

  • Have the ability to plan, delegate and manage tasks, issues, their priorities and interdependencies
  • Have the ability to spot, explain, and correct incomplete/inaccurate plans/budgets
  • Established the credibility to cement creative partnerships with project stakeholders
  • Be capable of identifying project conflicts or issues and work with appropriate people to resolve them
  • Has successfully delivered a range of projects and at least 2-3 intermediate projects with a minimum of all of the following:
    • Team size > 10 FTE
    • Project Budget (overall) > $1.5M (Ideaca budget > $750k)
    • Project duration > six months full-time
  • Is able to travel domestically and internationally as required

Dynamics AX Consultant

As an Ideaca Dynamics AX Consultant, you will be responsible for participating at all phases of the project life cycle including: analysing, designing, modeling, testing and deploying suitable and appropriate solutions. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work under dynamic conditions and within deadlines. We are currently seeking Microsoft Dynamics AX consultants in the roles of Trades and Logistics.

Required qualifications include:

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years experience with full life-cycle implementation of ERP systems (J.D. Edwards, Oracle, Navision, etc.) with an emphasis on Dynamics AX (Axapta) solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in ERP implementation principles, practices and methodologies
  • Experience and strong working knowledge across Financial, Human Resources, CRM or Supply Chain Management suite of applications

Business Analyst, Portals and Collaboration Consultant

As an Ideaca Business Analyst you will be responsible for defining, documenting and implementing processes within the Microsoft suite of products including Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007, SharePoint 2003, and Window SharePoint Services 2.0/3.0. This will include installation and configuration of SharePoint Portal and SharePoint Services. Knowledge of available web parts, functionality in MOSS 2007 and development of custom web parts would be an asset. Additionally, you will conduct acceptance testing and train customer resources to successfully administer and maintain implemented software. You will also participate in the sales cycle, specifically assisting in the preparation and execution of demos and writing proposals.

Required qualifications include:

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in implementation principles, practices and methodologies
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment

Business Intelligence Consultant

As an Ideaca Business Intelligence Consultant, you will be responsible for participating at all phases of the project life cycle including: analyzing, designing, modeling, testing and deploying suitable and appropriate solutions.

Business Intellignce skills: (Primary Focus)

  • Have experience with Microsoft Reporting Services and/or Microsoft Analysis Services
  • Defining data standards and data models for warehouse architectures
  • Business analytics focusing on the effective use of data and information to drive positive business actions. This area includes both business and technical topics, including concepts of performance management, definition and delivery of business metrics, data visualization, and deployment and use of technology solutions such as OLAP, dashboards, scorecards and analytic applications
  • Data analysis concentrating on the understanding of business requirements with respect to data and information
  • Data design focusing on translating business information into data structures with core skills to include information needs analysis, specification of business metrics, and data modeling
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, architectures, and processes
  • Data integration to deliver business intelligence solutions. Integration includes all of the activities necessary to acquire data from sources, and to transform and cleanse the data. Data integration includes concepts and skills for source data analysis and source qualification, data profiling, source/target mapping, data cleansing and transformation, and ETL development
  • Managing the infrastructure and ensuring continuous operation of data warehousing and business intelligence solutions

Database Skills: (Secondary Focus)

  • In-depth knowledge in the administration of Oracle and SQL Server databases including installation, configuration and support
  • Experience in applying database methodologies and best-practices in a client environment
  • Experience in the development of SQL and PL/SQL code objects including stored procedures, functions, triggers and views
  • Planning, design, and implementation of database related architecture and services
  • Performing data migrations including testing fixes and upgrades
  • Experience with space planning
  • Database backup and recovery
  • Performance tuning and problem diagnosis and resolution; working with Application developers
  • Strong understanding of application development processes
  • Database security administration
  • Release management and documentation

As our ideal candidate you:

  • Experience with database configuration and administration of ERP packages (including but not limited to SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Baan, MS/Navision Attain, MS/Navision Axapta)
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Understand how to build and maintain positive client and peer relationships
  • Experience working on ASP.NET enterprise applications, working with ADO.NET against a SQL server or Oracle databases
  • Demonstrate capabilities in evaluating new techniques and utilizing the appropriate elements
  • Establish confidence in your ability to manage tasks, issues, their priorities and interdependencies
